Major Duties Responsibilities

• Implement SAP BI strategy and best practices for global BI solution
• Creation, maintenance and implementation of BI solutions utilizing SAP BI and Cognos applications
  
• Provide BI oversight to ensure the long term reliability, scalability, availability, integrity and maintainability for enterprise data warehouse
  
• Active role in data architecture, tools, processes, project assessment and development process design
  
• Provide technical overviews and BI tool demonstrations to BI Power Users, Key Business users and SAP Functional owners
  
• Diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and performance issues via performance tuning/optimization
  
• Work closely with Key Business users to understand their challenges and translate them into requirements
  
• Collaborate with SAP Functional owners and BI development team to ensure the creation of production solutions which address business needs
  
• Organize, create and maintain critical technical and functional documentation for BI solutions, including technical specifications, test plans and training materials
  

Requirements

• A BA/BS degree and 10+ years of experience in Information Technology
  
• Proven success as a BI architect (5+ years) in a multi-national organization using SAP BI tools
• Extensive Knowledge of SAP BW 3.5 and SAP BI 7.0 in Modeling, Reporting BEX Analyzer, Query Designer, System Administration, Table Storage Maintenance, Security,
  Configuration, and Business Content activation
  
• Experience (5+ years) with data integration and BI/reporting tools
  
• 3-5 years with hands on ETL tools, data staging techniques, metadata tools, and data base designs
  
• Knowledge of SAP functional areas including: Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Finance and Controlling, and Inventory
  
• Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver
  
• Ability to deal with long term goals along with immediate performance concerns
  
• Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and teach engineers
  
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate highly complex technical issues to non-technical audience
  
• Experience with Business Objects a plus, to include Crystal Reports
  
• Experience with Cognos a plus
  
• Ability to work well with others
  
• Must be trustworthy and handle work of a confidential nature.
